Wireless speakers

Why can’t I use these speakers to play music from my computer?      I’m sitting in my room at my parent’s house, watching the NBA playoffs on TV. Above my TV, I have 2 fairly large speakers that are hooked up to a relatively old stereo. The idea: convert these 2 unused speakers into wireless speakers that I can use from my computer.      After doing a little research on wireless speakers I was not impressed. Most of the conversation is focused on surround sound or home theatre systems. A couple…See More

Now posting from my new mac computer.

Okay okay so maybe its not brand new... It actually just turned one year old just this month but the point is it still runs like new. I bought my apple laptop this time last year in preparation for school. At that time I was strictly a PC user. I had owned a dell and gateway but after doing my research and asking apple owners about their computers, I decided to splurge and purchase an apple laptop. Yes they are a bit more money and there is a learning curve to using them but I have never been…See More

HDTV Truely is HIGH DEFINITION

I'm sure almost everyone who owns a television has heard of HDTV. I am here to tell you all that if you watch television on a frequent basis and are trying to decide to get an upgrade on your television, DO IT. I recently bought my first HDTV, a new HD cable box, and a new HDMI cord to connect the cable box to the television. I watched the Super Bowl on this TV and decided I could never watch another football game on a normal TV again. The picture on my HDTV is incredible; crystal clear.

I… Continue

Technology in Philosophy

One of my favorite movie quotes is from the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Gene Wilder, who plays Willy Wonka says "Oh you can't go back that way. You have to go forward in order to go back". To a lot of people that does not make much sense of course you can always go back the way you came. This is not so. In the case of going back in history, we cannot simply just go back.

Going forward to go back actually makes some sense here. 100's of years ago, When Issac Newton… Continue

Teens Are This Excited About Yahoo! Buying Tumblr

Now that Tumblr is a Yahoo! property, just like the beleaguered Flickr, some are predicting the service's death already and the deal hasn't even been officially announced yet. Those people are dramatic teens who use Tumblr but that's still a pretty big deal.

Yahoo's board approves $1.1 billion Tumblr acquisition: WSJ

The Yahoo logo is shown at the company's headquarters in Sunnyvale SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Yahoo Inc's board has approved a deal to buy blogging and social networking site Tumblr for $1.1 billion in cash, the Wall Street Journal cited people familiar with the matter as saying on Sunday. Such an acquisition would be Marissa Mayer's largest deal since taking the helm of the once-iconic Internet company in July 2012. Yahoo is keen on fast-growing Tumblr because its younger user base would bolster the older website's "cool factor," the technology blog AllThingsD cited the sources as saying. ...

Google's wearable Glass gadget: cool or creepy?

File photo of Google founder Sergey Brin posing for a portrait wearing Google Glass during New York Fashion Week By Alexei Oreskovic SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Google staged four discussions expounding on the finer points of its "Glass" wearable computer during this week's developer conference. Missing from the agenda, however, was a session on etiquette when using the recording-capable gadget, which some attendees faithfully wore everywhere - including to the crowded bathrooms. Google Glass, a cross between a mobile computer and eyeglasses that can both record video and surf the Internet, is now available to a select few but is already among the year's most buzz-worthy new gadgets. ...
