That in itself would be a good marketing advertisement "Family Freindly Technology". If I were looking at eight (though there are dozens) choices for a new phone for one of my teenagers and one was marketed as "Parent Approved Content and Access", I…

Family Friendly Technology Needs-My Two Cents

On the note of family freindly technology, I would like the following wish list:

1-The ability to read my childrens cell phone text messages and be emailed or text'd when a x rated word is used.

Accidentally, I found some poor unforunate girl's texts to my son that showed her efforts to enlighten my son on things of the sexual matter. He said she was this "nasty" girl who won't stop texting him and he ignores her. I had to send her a text asking her to leave my son alone and that I would be pr… Continue

I got my new phone at Walmart for free.

Okay, I know you are prolonging your contract by 2 years from when you purchased your new phone, but if you qualify, which I think is 1 year from your original 2 year contract, you can get a new razor and other phones for free at Walmart. In speaking with the Walmart Tech person, they said it is a little known secret that Walmart of… Continue

Games, Games, and More Games

I want more E (everyone)Rated Games for my kids. I wish our Playstation could prohibit the use of M(mature) games, much like you can do on your television. I think some parents hold out on getting these gaming boxes because most of what is out there is too violent or sexual. It's frustrating.

Computer downloaded games

I have put myself in a pickle. In my home there is no tv, computer, or internet usage(outside of school work) for my children until the weekends. Okay, maybe we make American Idol an exception. My two teenage boys are like all other teenage boys, game junkies, when allowed to play, after 3pm on the weekends. I purchased the Spore computer game for my 13 year old. It is perfect for a creative kid who isn't into the racing type games. I wanted to put the game on one of our non-internet computers a… Continue

Bye bye Bajaj: Sun sets on India's beloved scooter (AP)

In this Feb. 18, 2010 photo, Prem Kalra, 72, looks on with his old Bajaj super scooter, as a motorcyclist moves past in New Delhi, India. Once there was the waiting list to buy Bajaj scooters, a wait which often lasted for years. There was the pride of that first ride and you knew that you'd finally made it to the middle class. Later this month, Bajaj's last scooter will roll out from its factory, ending an era in India's transition from dreary socialist economy into a consumerist power house.(AP Photo/Manish Swarup)AP - It was a purchase to be remembered.
