I have put myself in a pickle. In my home there is no tv, computer, or internet usage(outside of school work) for my children until the weekends. Okay, maybe we make American Idol an exception. Nintendo Wii - Is it any better than the traditional video game systems??

Against my better judgement (and without my knowledge) our family recently got a Nintendo Wii. It was a famiy Christmas gift from my mother-in-law...need I say more?? Are the New Gaming Systems Worth The Money?

The new gaming systems have been blowing my mind. Everything is so real! I don’t play video games that often and even though these new systems are incredible I have never thought that it would be worth the expense and I will just stick with my Madden on PS2. Games, Games, and More Games

I want more E (everyone)Rated Games for my kids. I wish our Playstation could prohibit the use of M(mature) games, much like you can do on your television. I think some parents hold out on getting these gaming boxes because most of what is out there is too violent or sexual. It's frustrating.

Wii Fit -- the downside

Santa brought us a Wii system this year and I quickly added the Wii Fit board and game. I have visions of skipping my gym membership and instead working out in the comfort of my own home. The system is very cool and its amazing how it can evaluate your balance and strength. The program/game has lots of options but it takes a while to go through a set of exercises. For example if I do 4 yoga poses and 3 strength moves it can take close to an hour but only bank 16-18 minutes on my workout timer.… Continue

Nintendo DS

I have always been a fan of Nintendo products and have my own personal experiences. For you parents out there, having a portable game system that kids can recharge(batteries), was an ingenious idea. The DS is light and very easy to use and great for trips in the car. You certaintly don't hear, "Are we there yet?"

I myself own a pink one, a gift from my husband. I also enjoy the Pokemon versions of games. However, Nintendo does an assorted array of video games for a slew of interests…

HDTV Truely is HIGH DEFINITION

I'm sure almost everyone who owns a television has heard of HDTV. I am here to tell you all that if you watch television on a frequent basis and are trying to decide to get an upgrade on your television, DO IT. I recently bought my first HDTV, a new HD cable box, and a new HDMI cord to connect the cable box to the television. 1-The ability to read my childrens cell phone text messages and be emailed or text'd when a x rated word is used.

Ode to the iPhone

I didn't get it at first. I was resistant, a near luddite.



I ribbed him for purchasing an iPhone as soon as it came out. The phone appeared to be superglued to his palm for a month. On occasion, I'd peer over during dinner and spy a game of poker going down.
