Social Media -- the new Free PR - Why Question it?

More than 100 million users log on to Facebook at least once each day ( and Twitter has an average 3,000,000 Tweets per day (TechCrunch). With growing stats such as these, it amazes me how the press and analysts continue to grab consumer attention with the “question” of social media. What question? Finding ourselves in an economically strapped environment, we have a free outlet at our fingertips to spread PR globally, in an instant. Not simply PR, but active customer engagement… Continue

An App a Day Keeps the Blackberry Away!

While I can’t yet vouch for the iPhone 3GS (sorry), I am happy to report I am more than happy with my recently outdated iPhone 3G. Usually, I tend to make consumer decisions like Simon votes on Idol. I either like it or I don’t. This time around, I pondered around the AT&T store for a good thirty minutes before my new purchase. Facebook…What is it not?

One day I was surprised to receive a message, via Facebook Mobile, from my father, “I just wanted to see where you are spending so much of your time.” It suddenly dawned on me many people, like my father, a key player in a large telecommunications company, have developed technology skills yet are clueless when it comes to the modern phenomenon of Facebook. Driving strategic Web 2.0 trends in leading technologies and industries, Facebook has been an integral part of everyday culture whether… Continue

BlackBerry Pearl- Still Needs Shined

The word Blackberry is now a part of everyday vocabulary. Even my grandmother knows not to start picking the bushes for fruit when “I can’t find my Blackberry!”. Just as this little device, small enough to fit in the back-pocket of the tightest pair of jeans, is an integral part of our speech it has also become an integral part of our lives. With phone, blue-tooth, a camera, e-mail, internet, and even GPS capabilities, when you lose your phone I think everyone has experienced that panicked… Continue
